Our next two stops headed south were both Army Corps of Engineer parks. We love Corps parks given that not only do they typically offer very nice, spacious, private sites, but given our advanced age, we can take advantage of their “Golden Age Pass” which gets us a 50% discount! Hard to beat that.

Another plus was that both of these particular parks offered full hookups for that price, a price that’s already lower than many public and most all private parks– $15/night instead of $50.

Foscue Creek was also the first opportunity for Jill to put together her outdoor living/cooking area[– rugs, chairs, grills, tables, cat house, lights, table cloth, etc. etc. Life was good.
